Good view if your located out the front of the hotel - There is ample car parking free - Beds are changed daily and towels replaced - Bed was comfortable -
Rooms very basic - Shower dirty - Toilet floor tiles lifting with water coming up when you walk on them - No bin in room. You just have a bed that's it - 3 km from city - Poorly serviced by bus which stops at 8.30pm ( Lots of walking ) - Breakfast again very basic cost 8 euro each for Juice - Bread & coffee ( No fruits, Cheese Meats available ) - No staff at nights - Door key must be kept away from mobiles or it will be wiped and you will find it hard to get any help -

Parking at the hotel, near the port and old city.
Though the bedlinen was clean, the room was desperate for some new paint and floorcarpet because of the stains everywhere. We took a room with gardenview and what you get is a view and sound from the aircon.

The location of LMdS is great, and with a sea-view room the vistas across the Baie des Anges are wonderful! The friendly staff and familiar faces who remembered us after 11 years of annual visits is always so welcoming. The lady who oversees the breakfasts was particularly charming and friendly; as well as the staff at the main desk. The cleaning staff, who work very hard, were very courteous and friendly. Altogether a very good experience - which is why we come back!!!!
Sadly, the chef was very reluctant to provide a small bowl of ice and a bottle of water on the first evening - in the extreme heat this was needed for us to cool down in our room. It has always been provided in the past with great courteousy, so we were surprised by his rudeness when he said that there was not enough and it was required for the dinner clients! Were we not clients to him? Anyway the desk staff dealt with it very well and for the rest of the stay the ice and water was always available for us. A couple of little suggestions, which would make the stay perfect: a small fridge in the rooms and a fan, either at the bedside or on the ceiling. And, no need to change sheets/ towels every day - in light of protecting the environment!

We arrived and were shown to a room that was not made up. When I let the lady know she was very apologetic and upgraded us to a bigger room free of charge with a view. The new room was spacious and comfortable however the old room was quite small. Heaps of parking. Very convenient for parking. Walking distance to a great Irish pub and paces to eat. Lovely walk through gardens from the Carre Four.
Noisy in the morning. The gardeners started quite early with noisy tools. The view from the sea view rooms is amazing. Not sure if I would have liked the budget room. Very tiny.

Location. You can have fantastic view of Meditorranean Sea from the room window. The looks outside the hotel is just strikingly beautiful. More important for driving tourists is that the hotel provide free parking just under the hotel building. Recommend to those one night stay visitors.
All the impressive beauty of the hotel stop at outside the door of your room. Inside is another less attractive story, if not on the opposites: not as clean and modern and well maintained as outside, the walls with marks everywhere in the room reveal this; bathroom is newly equiped though; the shockingly missing thing in the room in a place as hot as Nice is that there is not air-con! Don't know if not having an air-con is the customs in Nice, but it is understandable this might be a result of the price with such a good location.
